Interact is a club for youth ages 12-18 who want to connect with other young people in their community or school. Interact club members have fun while carrying out service projects and learning about the world. Follow Interact on Facebook and visit Interact’s YouTube channel to see what Interact clubs are doing around the world. Interact clubs organize at least two projects every year, one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Rotary club sponsors mentor and guide Interactors as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.

Each year, over 8,000 high school students participate in the Rotary Youth Exchange program worldwide, learning a new language and experiencing a new culture, through the efforts of Rotary volunteers around the globe. The program began in the 1920’s, but took off after World War II. The program’s primary mission: “To work towards peace and understanding in the world.” Students ages 15-18.5 can participate in a long-term exchange of up to one year, or they can choose a short-term family to family exchange during the summer. What are the benefits?
Exchange students unlock their true potential to:
Short-term exchanges last from several days to three months and are often structured as camps, tours, or home stays that take place when school is not in session.
Our club is proud to sponsor outbound students almost every year and coordinate and welcome inbound students. We truly change lives, consider this:
Sierra …… “My year abroad in Denmark was definitely the most impactful experience in my life so far. Experiencing another culture, learning another language, and meeting other exchange students from across the globe allowed me to grow more than I thought was possible in 11 months. I would not trade this experience for the world, and I’d give anything to be able to live through it again.”
Paula ……The best thing was that I gained new families and long lasting relationships and friendships. When I got back home I was just filled with gratitude. I also realized how blessed I was to have this opportunity. I found that I changed a lot and have different opinions than I did before I left.
