Dr. Mary Lou Sole – UCF Dean of Nursing

Dr. Mary Lou Sole has been dean of nursing since 2015. She also holds the Orlando Health endowed chair and two national fellowships. She is a nationally-known critical care clinical nurse specialist and researcher. She has authored over 100 clinical articles and edited a best-selling critical care textbook. She is dedicated to developing the next generation of nurse leaders.
Dr. Sole has been honored with numerous awards, including being named a UCF Pegasus Professor, the university’s highest faculty honor. Although she is not a UCF alumna, she bleeds black and gold.
