A native of Savannah, Ken Chapman, received a Bachelor of Music Education from Armstrong/Atlantic University and his Masters in Music Education from George State. An accomplished musician, he taught high school band and theater for 10 years, winning more than 300 competition awards. He was named Teacher of the Year twice.

Ken then spent the next two decades as CEO and creative director of Creative Events International. He was the music producer for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and executive producer for the Atlanta and Barcelona Paralympics Ceremonies. He also produced the 2006 Easter Egg Roll at the White House.

In 2005, the Captain served as the Executive Producer and Operations Director for American Frontiers, a trek across public lands in partnership with the Federal Government and National Geographic Society. The Federal Land Management Agencies considered it one of their most historic events of this century.

He has received many awards for his Salvation Army service in Tulsa, Ok and Jackson MS. He is currently implementing a revolutionary Social Service program called Pathway of Hope.

He is married to Jessie Starks Chapman from Fort Walton Beach, also a Salvation Army officer. They have three children.

He has been a member of the club since 2018.
