Updates from Seniors First and the Problems Facing Senior Citizens in our Community

After an extensive career in the mortgage industry for over 20 years, Wendy entered the nonprofit sector in 2009 while living overseas in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. There she joined the board of the global International Women’s Contact organization as their Charity Officer for 3 years, bringing together women from over 50 nationalities to raise much-needed funds for local and international charities. After repatriating to the U.S., Wendy’s early work in development was at Give Kids the World and Heart of Florida United Way. Having a passion for seniors she joined Seniors First, Inc. in March 2014 as their Chief Development Officer. Wendy is also active in the Association of Fundraising Professionals as a long-time member and served on their board as Chair of National Philanthropy Day. She received her Certificate in Professional Fundraising from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University.
