Major General (Retired) Michael S. Repass is the Chief Executive Officer of Able Global Solutions, LLC which he founded in 2013 after retiring from the Army. AGS focuses on discreet international business development to match emerging technology, unique capabilities, and proven products with potential clients. AGS also examines strategic trends in the international environment to provide clients actionable perspectives. AGS has supported an array of defense and government agencies plus commercial and educational entities with special operations advice, strategic assessments, and educational engagements.

Mike Repass’s military career began in 1980 upon graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He served as an infantry officer in multiple junior officer assignments in the 5 th Infantry Division (Mechanized) and 101 st Infantry Division (Air Assault), to include air assault infantry company commander. He subsequently spent over 30 years as a Special Forces officer, and commanded at every level from lieutenant to major general.

His Special, Forces assignments included the 5 th Special Forces Group, Battalion Commander in 1 st Battalion, 1 st Special Forces Group in Japan, and multiple positions to include Group Commander in the 10 th Special Forces Group. He was assigned to U.S. Special Operations Command as the Chief of the Ground Branch, Special Actions Division. As general officer, he served as the Deputy Commander of Special Operations Command-Europe, the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Special Forces Command, and the Commanding General of Special Operations Command-Europe.

International assignments have included Grenada and Egypt. He served with the NATO headquarters and the U.S Army Europe/7 th Army, both in Heidelberg, Germany. He commanded the 1 st Battalion, 1 st Special Forces Group, forward-stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He commanded the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Arabian Peninsula during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM during two combat tours. He twice served in Special Operations Command-Europe in Stuttgart, Germany as a general officer.

MG Repass received a bachelor’s degree in science from the USMA in 1980 and a master’s degree in strategic studies in 2003. Military schooling includes the Infantry Officer Basic and Advance courses, Ranger, Airborne and Air Assault Schools, Special Forces Qualification, Psychological Operations, Civil Affairs, and Regional Studies Courses, the Command and General Staff Officer’s Course, and the U.S Army War College.

His awards include: two Distinguished Service Medals (Army), Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Stars, two Joint Meritorious Service Medals, four Meritorious Service Medals, five Army Commendation Medals, one Joint Service Achievement Medal, and two Army Achievement Medals; the Combat and Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Parachutist’s and Air Assault badges, and Ranger and Special Forces Tabs. He has multiple foreign decorations, accomplishment badges, and honorary awards from the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.

A native of West Virginia, Mike Repass was raised in Orlando, Florida. He is married to the former Linda L. Rainey from Sheboygan, Wisconsin and they currently live in Orlando, Florida. They have one son who lives in Texas.
