Douglas A. Metzger, AICP, LMT has over 30 years of experience in the planning world and has been with the City of Orlando since 2011. He is currently the Chief Planner of the City’s Community Planning Studio and oversees the Downtown Orlando Appearance Review Board and the Historic Preservation Board.
The Community Planning Studio also reviews the design and aesthetics of everything that affects the public realm from sign and telecommunications permits to new high-rises, stadiums, and other major developments throughout the City of Orlando.
Doug worked for 20 years at Glatting Jackson prior to joining the city team. His relevant projects included Lake Nona Medical City, NorthLake Park at Lake Nona, West Orange Trail, Cypress Grove Park, and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
